CREATIVE RESIDENT DEVELOPS AND PRODUCES WORK, AND GIVES THE PEOPLE WHO BUILD IT DEFINED PARTICIPATION IN WHAT IT EARNS.
Creative Resident Ltd is the parent platform. Each project carries a sequential identifier — CR001, CR002, CR003 — and is developed with a resident: a creative person selected to work with us.
Some projects sit within Creative Resident Ltd. Others may be held in their own vehicle. The structure follows the work, not the other way around.
What does not change is the principle: everyone who puts something real into a project — cash, equipment, space, craft, time — holds a recorded position in it.
THE MODEL
Cash and non-cash contributions are both recorded, valued and approved. Equipment, studio time and craft are not free resources that disappear into a production.
Each project carries 100 project points, allocated to the parties who built it. Participation is defined before the work is made, not argued after.
Revenue moves through a waterfall configured for that project: costs, then capital, then approved deferrals, then participation.
RESIDENCY
A resident is a creative person Creative Resident chooses to build with. Residency is not a competition or a grant scheme. It is a working relationship, with a project attached to it and an economic structure written down.
